A rare snowstorm in Joshua Tree... Ummmmm... shot... somewhere in Alaska. Occasionally, when a large piece of ice has melted just enough, it will flip over, exposing the as-yet untouched underside. Because of the way water freezes at different depths/densities, incredible colors are briefly available, before the sun sets in and blanches them. Just such an iceberg, shot outside Juneau, Alaska. The red color comes from a combination of the dirt and pine tree needles decomposing in the ground above. Tree in the mist. A small guy in Costa Rica... maybe 8 feet. Hungry.
